Provider Profile – Regina Hills

1. What is your role/position with NHCLV and which location do you work at? How long have you worked for the organization?

I am the Program Coordinator of the Center of Excellence for Opioid Use Disorder. I have been employed with NHCLV since February 2017 and I work out of all three of our health centers.

2. Why do you think an FQHC is important in caring for members of the Lehigh Valley community?

I believe that an FQHC is important to our community because it gives people access to quality primary care by removing existing barriers such as lack of transportation and finances.

3. What’s the most important thing you have learned working for an FQHC?

The most important thing that I have learned in the past two years working for an FQHC is that many people do not have knowledge of the services that are available to help them and that it is our duty to make sure that our patients are presented with every possible opportunity to improve their health and well-being.

4. What do you love most about your job?

The thing I love most about my job is being able to work with an extraordinary treatment team that truly cares about addiction and approaches each patient as an individual. I feel truly blessed to work with such compassionate, caring and dedicated people every day.

5. What one piece of advice do you have for patients when it comes to caring for their health?

My advice is to ask questions if there is something you are unsure of. You are never a bother to your provider or treatment team! Your health is our number one priority and we will always take time to ensure that you understand and are a part of your treatment.
