NHCLV receives Silver-level Award from “Target BP 2023 Recognition Program”

Neighborhood Health Centers of the Lehigh Valley is pleased to be recognized by the American Heart Association and the American Medical Association as a leader in the national effort to get patient blood pressure rates under control and reduce the number of Americans who have heart attacks and strokes each year. As part of the 2023 Target: BP Recognition Program, AHA and AMA awarded NHCLV with the Silver recognition level.

Target BP is a collaboration between the AHA and AMA to recognize health care providers who are committed to improving blood pressure control rates in their patient population by submitting data and committing to evidence-based practices. The Silver level recognizes practices that submit blood pressure control data and complete at least 4 out of 6 evidence-based practices. The evidence-based practices include calibrating blood pressure measurement devices, training staff in accurate blood pressure measurement, retesting staff skills at least annually, and using a blood pressure measurement protocol. This is the first year that NHCLV has submitted data to the program. NHCLV is one of 784 practices to achieve Silver status.
