1. What is your role/position with NHCLV and which location do you work at? How long have you worked for the organization?

I am a Community of Excellence Behavioral Health Integration Specialist and Certified Family Recovery Specialist working at all three locations of NHCLV. I have been with the organization two years.

2. Why do you think an FQHC is important in caring for members of the Lehigh Valley community?

I believe that an FQHC is important because it helps fill the gaps in quality care for individuals who otherwise may not be able to receive it. Our FQHC is important because that quality care involves taking steps to combat the current opioid crisis and improve the lives of individuals suffering with opiate use disorder.

3. What’s the most important thing you have learned working for an FQHC?

I learned that FQHCs are filled with doctors, nurses, and staff that are dedicated to improving the health of our communities.

4. What do you love most about your job?

I love that I am able to work with patients and their families on reaching their recovery goals.

5. What one piece of advice do you have for patients when it comes to caring for their health?

Never lose hope and remember that recovery is possible.
